Film Studio Project

The Cosy Theatre, Masterton, will soon be converted into a studio and laboratory for the production of sound films. A Wellington company is the new lessee of the theatre, and will commence full production in Masterton later in the year. One processing unit for urgent work has already been set up in Wellington, and a second subsidiary is planned for Auckland. Plant on order includes natural colour equipment, both for 35mm and 16mm films. The first project (says a Press Association message from Masterton) will be a feature length documentary film depicting the life of several English war brides.
