BACH TAKES FIRE
HARBOUR ISLAND OUTBREAK
A small one-roomed bach belonging- to Mr J. McEwan and situated on one of the harbour islands opposite the Strand, was destroyed by fire last Monday evening. The owner was absent at the time, and the cause of the outbreak is unknown. The fire though of a short duration caused a bright glow across the harbour and in the direction of the business section of the town, causing considerable concern amongst shop-owners.
