Dear Sir,

The Editor reserves the right to abridge, amend or withhold any letter or letters. PREVENTION BETTER THAN CURE Sir, —As a comparative newcomer to the Bay of Plenty and hence as a reader of the Beacon, I would like to congratulate you on the very fine editorial Leaders in your paper. They are one of the first things I turn to and I always find them of great topical interest and knowledgeable value. I would particularly commend you for the Leader headed “Prevention is Better Than Cure,” (Feb. .24th), and would like, if I may, to put forward my ideas on the subject. Would not a great deal of hospitalisation and tragic suffering be saved if it could so be arranged that every person underwent a thorough medical examination and X-ray annually? The inauguration’ of such a scheme, would I know, entail a great financial cost in its initial outlay but sui’ely the results would more than compensate this and no cost should be too great in order to build up and safeguard a country’s health. It is a pitiable fact that money is always readily found to wage war on healthy people of other countries, so surely it could be found for the more noble cause of waging war on disease. I think the results obtained in X-raying the troops should prove conclusively what immense value such a scheme would be, as in their case many an ailment was diagnosed and checked before it had the chance to make itself known to the patient. A compulsory annual check-up, would, in the long run, alleviate much of the strain placed upon our doctors and medical staffs throughout the country. Yours, etc. HOPEFUL. (We have to thank our correspondent for her complimentary remarks and likewise to express our appreciation of her constructive news and suggestions.—Ed.)
CONSPIRACY AGAINST PEACE
Sir, —One may call revolution a conspiracy against peace as the French Revolution was the policy of the Due of Orleans, but the originators of the plot were the German Free Masons and the Illuminati; this being the source from which came all those Anarchic schemes of 1793 and the regime of terror. The Due of Orleans was the Grand Master of the Order of France, which was founded by the Illuminati at that time. Whilst the Illuminati of Germany strove to drive France, and the rest of the world into anarchy, the Government of Prussia was engaged in another intrigue against the French Monarchy. Revolution has always been the strategy of the heads of Governments to gain their own ends, or the ends of those outside interests they are working for. You can trace the workings of the Communist back to the Illuminati of 1776 under the guidance of Dr. Adam Weishaupt-a Judaic Prussian. You can trace all revolutions from one to another, and the fountain head of all our troubles is this pagan brotherhood plotting for world supremacy, by forcing all nations that will not bend the knee; to economic serfdom, and elsewise poverty. According to Sir Harry Twyford’s comments (Herald 28/1/47) it goes to show that the inner circle of the Economic Control of Great Britain are still working on those lines of political revolution in 1793. The laws of production and consumption are being upset, and if allowed to carry on, essentials of life will be reduced to the minimum of want. The danger that threatens civilisation is no new danger the teachings from that Pagan Hierachy has never ceased to smoulder. There is one great hope of these, power lusters, that the people can be kept in a state of division (by party politics) thus preventing them from uniting to demand that the present financial system be abandoned and replaced by one that will work for the benefit of the people. If the people can be deceived by promises of full employment, relief palliatives, and so- ■ called “security” measures, then those in control will have achieved their purposes, and continued debt, taxation and enslavement will be the lot of humanity. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW. M.E.E.A. Committee, Matata. When the secretary of this organisa-
tion signs his name to the letter we have received on the ‘Drink Ques*tion’ (for fili»g purposes only) we wil be pleased to publish his letter. Ed.
