Dress of Office Workers

In Hamilton, men members of the office staffs of the Waikato County Council and the Waikato Central Electric Power Board, have received permission to wear shorts, opennecked shirts, long hose and shoes during office hours. This relaxation of the traditional custom of business suits and collars and ties for office workers has proved popular among the staffs concerned, and many are taking advantage of the opportunity to wear office clothing more suited to summer conditions.
