YOUNG CALEDONIANS
SETTING UP THE CLANS NEW YEAR APPOINTMENTS At a meeting of the Whakatane Young Caledonian Society, held in. the Caledonian Hall last Wednesday evening and presided over by the newly appointed Chief, Mr W. Abbott, the following Clan Chieftains were appointed: McLeod Clan, Colin Ranby; Campbell Clan, George Paterson; Murray Clan, Des Carling. The Society’s General Secretary, is Miss Dorothy Stewart, and the Treasurer Miss Betty Mole. Executive: Messrs. Geo. Goodall, Geo. Ramson, Misses Pauline Chadwick, Vilma Bowering, T. Sym'mans, Lucy Hurst and Nova Ranby. At a combined evening to be held on Saturday, March 1, the Clans will be picked and the year’s activities commenced.
