WEEKEND BOWLING RESULTS SHIELD TO TANEATUA Under excellent bowling -onditions the shield match between Whakatane and Taneatua, which took place at Taneatua last Saturday proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable contest in which the home team won on the aggregate by 80 points to 79. Details of the play were as under (Whakatane names being mentioned first): — Sims, Hollis, Currah and Murphy. 21 beat Rixon, Goodhue, Rae and Foster 19. Cockerell, King, Dixon and Oswald 16 lost to Kempton, Torrie, Hedrie and Lawn 29. Davis, Morpeth, Alexander and Hayward 14 lost to Rangi, Green, Wilson and Coe 25. Spong, Howat, Tippett and Henderson 28 beat Gee, Black, Cradwick and Hunt 16. Feathers Game: Kingdon, Dredge, McGill and Fraser 22 lost to O’Brien, Ball, Ricketts and Alexander 27. Club Matches Campbell, J. Bell, Shapley and Howat Sen. 30 beat Pezet, Stewart, White and Warner 13. Schofield. Caisley and Littlejohn 26 beat Mussett, Head and Thompson 15. . Brown, R. C.
