ROWING CLUB’S SUCCESS

CONGRATULATIONS to the Whakatane Rowing Club on its recent successes at Tauranga and Hamilton. The sport which has ever enjoyed widespread popularity in this district is now making a name for the town in other parts of the Province. The two spectacular wins experienced of late should do much to consolidate the local club’s position by way of public interest and goodwill. The representative teams have earned their success by dint of hard practice and consistent training. It is this factor which lends colour to their prospect of winning still greater laurels in the future.
