Bulldozers Prove Worth
Fifteen building sections have recently been carved out of the rough slopes on top of Mt. Victoria above the Wellington suburb of Hataitai. Their area totals about two and ahalf acres. The contractor said it was a major job in section building and one of the biggest ever done in Wellington. No slope seemed too steep for the skilfully operated bulldozer. In three weeks, the machine, though of only 40 horse-power, moved about 10,000yds of spoil to form flat terraces from the previously unusable ground.
