SPECIAL SHEEP FAIR PRICES AT TANEATUA Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., report having had a most successful clearance at a Special Sheep Fair held at Taneatua on January 9th. The bulk of the store sheep offered on account of Gisborne vendors had been grazing at Waioeka for the past two months and came forward in good condition, and sold in advance of recent rates. Buyers were attracted from the Bay of Plenty and Waikato districts. Offerings on account of local vendors sold readily. Prices realised were: Woolly ewe lambs 22s 6d; woolly wether lambs 23s 3d; a line of forward lambs realised 255; a line of 2-tooth wethers made up to 325; smaller sheep made! from 23s 7d to 29s 3d; 4 and 6-tooth wethers made from 28s to 325. The demand for ewes was keen 2-tooth making ujo to 32s 7d; others from 24s 9d to 28s 3d; 4-tooth ewes making up to 30s 3d.
