FLESH AND BLOOD SHOWS

WE learn from the Kerridge-Odeon theatrical combine, that our town is rapidly gaining in reputation as a first-class country show-town. Tried out in recent months it has never failed to supply excellent and appreciative audiences for first-class plays and highranking theatrical personalities. The unbelievable has come to pass—Whakatane can do it! It is this factor coupled with the business acumen of the local manager, which has made it possible for engagements of the ‘Frivolity Minstrels’ (January 25); the ‘Radiant Revue Company’ (February 5); and a further visit from Whitehall Productions with ‘Dangerous Corner’ (March 20). It is hoped in future to have in Whakatane at least one ‘flesh and blood’ show each month.
