Love Call in Tobacco Tin
Searches by English women for husbands are apparently becoming keener. One woman, at least, has chosen an unconventional method of seeking a mate. A tin of English tobacco opened by a New Plymouth man recently contained the following message: ‘'Josephine Mullen, aged 26; no money, no hopes, very willing. Trusting for an early reply.” An address at Pitfield Street, Shoreditch, London, E.l, is also provided, but no other essential particulars.
