PARENT’S DAY

GALA DAY AT OTAKIRI DISPLAY AT SCHOOL Fine weather and a record attendance favoured Otakiri on the occasion of Parents’ Day last week. The exhibits of class work were tastefully laid out and the rooms gaily decorated by the staff and children. The cooking and flower sections were among the outstanding attractions of the day. In the afternoon the senior pupils gave a bright display of the new drill and relay races. The judges were: Flowers, Mrs K. Armstrong. Vegetables, Mrs P. Cobden.
