JUNIOR RED CROSS

BASKET OF TOYS CONTRIBUTED

A new Junior Red Cross Circle formed within the last few months, at Tawera Native School, Ruatoki, has early proved its mettle. A big basket full of very cuddley soft toys in the form "of gaily dressed dolls, ducks and balls was handed in to the Red Cross Centre a few days ago.

Captain Galloway, Dominion Secretary of the Red Cross Society, who was present at the rooms yesterday congratulated the Circle on its efforts. He stressed the pleasure with which such' gifts are received by children overseas, some of whom had never seen a doll in their lives.
