A GAME FOR YOUR XMAS PARTY

For the game of “Likenesses,” the players sit in a ring. They are asked by the leader to concentrate so that he may be able to impress his thoughts on them. Then he says: “I am thinking of something: what is it like?”

Each person in turn must now mention something which he thinks is like the object of the leader’s thought. Such varied things as tree, tiger photographer, ..chair, mouse, block of wood, streak of lightning may be mentioned. When all have finished the leader declares what it was he thought of. It may have been one of the men sitting m the ring. Supposing you did think of a man present. Each player in turn must now explain where the likeness comes in between the objects he mentioned and the particular person. These explanations involve much invention and fun.

When the first round is complete another person takes a tur,n in the centre, and the game proceeds in the same manner.
