OVER THE YEAR
AGAIN we have arrived at the apex of the working year. Christmas is upon us and 1946 has but a few days to run. The BEACON takes this opportunity of thanking its readers, its advertisers and its customers for their continued and increasing support and extends to them all the most cordial greetings and best wishes for the festive and holiday season. The year has been a crucial one and as the first twelve months of peace has wrought many changes and many advancements. New business ventures have been established, new homes erected, new citizens and residents welcomed to our midst.
