National Savings

Although the holiday season is

approaching National Savings investments continue at a high level. Last week the individual weekly quotas were obtained at 299 places throughout the Dominion and in all postal districts the full district quota was attained. In 19 of the 20 postal districts the full annual quota for the current financial year has already been exceeded. Since April 1 last the depositor strength of the movement has increased to an encouraging extent in all districts, more than 12,000 new depositors, including slightly over • 6000 group savers, have been enrolled.
