TANEATUA v EDGECUMBE Taneatua further increased its lead in the competition at Te Teko against Edgecumbe and enjoyed a comfortable 8-point win. Taneatua were the first to open sqoring 125 runs. When play was -resumed after lunch Edgecumbe took their stand and were dismissed for 35. Taneatua having a substantial lead sent Edgecumbe in for a further innings. Play ended with Edgecumbe adding another 43 bringing the total to 77. The outstanding bowler of the day was J. Semmens who took five wickets in two overs for six runs.
