PURCHASE OF HULK The Northern Steamship Company has decided to withdraw its offer to deliver the hulk “Wanganui” which was to have been purchased by the Whakatane Harbour Board. At its last meeting, the Board received a letter from the Company advising that it could only undertake to deliver the vessel outside the Heads and not, as was in previous negotiations understood by thej Board, at the wharf. As the Board was not interested in the purchase of the hulk under thesesconditions, the Company was forced to with---draw its offer. ,
