The judging was for

Child’s Effort and Dairy Type and Champion of all breeds. The‘calves were a great credit to the children in all classes, but more so to the winners of the Child’s Effort. Outstanding in this class were the calves shown by the children of Mr Steve Savage, these specimens were a perfect example of a Child’s Effort and should stand a good chance in the show to be held at Pongakawa on Wednesday, December 4. The calves (in the same class) of Mr E. Henry were also a great credit to his son Colin. .
