Serious Collision
Extensive injuries were received by Mr W. F. CressweH,' of Richard Street, Opotiki, when the car he was , driving became involved in a cbl- . lision with a motor truck at Nuku- ... hou North last Saturday afternoon. Mr CressweH' was returning ’ from. Auckland when he became involved in a collision with a truck near Messrs. Ruff Bros.’ place at Nuku-. hou. It is understood that the driver of this latter vehicle was blinded by; the sun, and did not observe the approach of the car. Mr Cresswell,A who was the only. occupant of the car,' suffered severe scalp wounds, and injuries to his shoulders, a wrist, knee and ankle. Medical attention r was rendered by Di;. H. J. Mail who / was returning to Opotiki,. and who* arived upon the scene of the acci—dent immediately .afterwards. The;, driver of the tr.uck but a woman passenger was slight-** ly hurt. • * . ,
