Beekeepers Meet

The monthly meeting of the Whakatane Beekeepers’ Association took place at Mr I. B. Hubbard’s residence last Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance, and Mr - Hubbard, President, was in the chair. A new member, Mr George was welcomed. The evening was spent mainly in discussing aspects of beekeeping, the local instructor, Mr McMahon, answering sl number of queries relating to the preparation of hives, and the building up of stock in readiness for the honeyflow. The meeting closed after a tasty supper had been served by the ladies present.
