SNOOKER
HANWRIGHT SHIELD CONTEST
The Snooker Tournament for the Hanwright Shield will conclude on Monday and Tuesday of next week, November 11 and 12. The semi-final will be played on Monday, and the final on Tuesday. The winner will receive the handsome shield donated by various Whakatane sportsmen, also a, small cup. The runner-up will receive a cup. Interest in the tournament has been considerable and the three left in to contest the finals are R. Schou, E. Hunt and B. Hudson. All three are good exponents of the game and a tight finish is practically certain to result.
