Drivers' Licenses
The issue of 61 drivers' licenses was ©oted in the report of the County Inspector (Mr A. Carling) to the Whakatane County Council at its last meeting. Tests and extensions during the month included 22 car, 5 H.T. motor 2 road machine, 3 motor cycle, 3 passenger service vehicle, 1 taxi cab, 1 over 70 years, and 7 Borough tests. Twenty-four heavy traffic licenses to the value of £57 2s 6d had been collected, and all the 2nd quarter heavy traffic licenses had been taken out.
