NATIONAL CAMPAIGN
MR W. SULLIVAN'S MOVEMENTS
EASTERN ELECTORATE PROGRESS
The National candidate, Mr W. Sullivan, is now traversing the Eastern end of his electorate ■ where he has been given an excellent reception. At Woodlandswhere a gathering of two hundred awaited him he was greet- ? ed with musical honours and, ;' after dealing with the main as-: ? pects of National's policy without interruption was acorded a • vote of thanks and confidence ? on the motion of Messrs. John Armstrong and J. H. Reid. Mr Boris Black was in the chair. On Friday afternoon Mr Sullivan, addressed a gathering of twentyfour settlers at Wainui where, he was given an excellent hearing and the usual gesture of confidence.^ On Saturday afternoon at Te Kaha he addressed sixty electors among whom were a number of interested Maoris. Mr Sullivan confined his main remarks to his Party's land policy, and* Maori planks. In the evening at Raukokore a gathering of forty was addressed Mr Sullivan making a deep impression on his audience. At both places he was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence.
