HALF A TON OF FAT

SINCE the opening of the CORSO appeal for fats just on half a ton which would otherwise have gone to waste has been collected from the Whakatane district -and Borough. By far the greater quantity came from the country residents though it is interesting to note that school children within the Borough contributed some 3cwt. We can only repeat the official message from Headquarters and say Well done, Whakatane.’
