IN AID OF ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

TOMORROW in the Whakatane Domain two important representative hockey fixtures will be played as benefit games in aid of the funds of the local branch of the St. John Am-

bulance. The matches consist of men’s and ladies’ teams from this centre who will try conclusions with the Opotiki representatives. There is every reason to regard the games as the finest yet seen in Whakatane, but the event cannot be considered a financial success without full public support. Knowing the particularly high standing of the St. John Ambulance Association, we have no fears but that a record crowd will assemble to witness the season’s most important fixtures.
