SOUTH AUCKLAND DIVISION PRESENTATION TO MR F.J. SHORT At a meeting of the South Auckland Divisional Committee of the N.Z. Nationalist Party held at Hamilton recently, opportunity was taken to make a presentation of an Address to Mr F. J. Short who had for nine years been chairman of the National Party, Bay of Plenty Electorate. Speakers included the chairman of the ten electorates in the Division, Mr W. Sullivan, M.P., Mr G. F. Sim, M.P., Mr T. G. Wilkes, Dominion secretary of the National Party, and Mr E. C. East, for nine years secretary of the Bay of Plenty electorate. Eulogistic reference was made to Mr Short’s work for his own electorate, as a member of the Divisional Committee and Executive, and as a Dominion Councillor. The presentation was made by Mr H. E. Walters, chairman of the division.
