POLISH TERRORISTS

HUGE ARMAMENTS HAUL Enormous stores of arms, said to have been dropped from planes, have been taken from Polish underground terrorists. This was revealed by the Polish Minister for Security, M. Radkiewicz, in a speech to the National Council of Poland. M. Radkiewicz said that in the first year after Poland’s liberation, the Security Service had annihilated 191 bands of terrorists.

Among armaments captured from these bands were: 16 mine-throw-ers, 16 anti-tank guns, 114 heavy machine guns, 816 sub-machine guns, 3514 automatic rifles, 7742 rifles, 3107 pistols, 4197 hand grenades, 3804 mines and 3,237,325 cartridges. “Such vast quantities of munitions are not in Poland by accident,” said Security Minister Radkiewicz. Somebody must have brought them, and parachutad them from aeroplanes or landed them in aeroplanes. “With these armaments, the terrorist criminals killed 5300 peaceful civilians and wounded 1167. The bandits also killed 149 public servants, 209 members of political parties, 303 Polish Army soldiers and officers, 558 People’s Militia members and 433 Security officers. A total of 6952 Polish democrats died by the bullets of these terrorists after Poland’s liberation.”

Security Minister Radkiewicz said that he accused certain people abroad, as well as local terrorist bands, for these murders. MAN-CARRYING KITES A new sport is in prospect—it is flying on man-carrying kites. The Government is now'■selling formerly secret German plans for construction of man-carrying kites used by the Nazis in the war. Plans are sold at one dollar a copy to any manufacturer prepared to undertake their construction for the public market. It is suggested that kites will be flown from moving motor cars and speedboats when there is no wind, and that ascents by this medium will become extremely popular.
