NURSES ENTERTAIN

SUCCESSFUL DANCE HELD Last Thursday evening, nurses of the Whakatane Public Hospital staged another very successful dance in the Caledonian Hall. A large crowd from all parts of the district attended, and under the capable and popular control of Dr. Dawson as Master of Ceremonies, enjoyed dancing to excellent music supplied by the Premier Band.

A tasty supper was served at an appropriate interval during the evening, when the nurses proved themselves first-rate hosts.

Very popular were the novelty dances which were held, all being entered into in splendid spirit. Winners were Mr Arthur Head and partner, Miss Francis Fyfe and partner, and Mr Raymond Bell and Miss June Stevens.

Dancing concluded at a late hour, all who attended, voting the evening an unqualified success.
