MONTHLY MEETING DISCUSSIONS CONTROL OF NOXIOUS WEEDS At the last monthly meeting of Federated Farmers of N.Z. Inc. (Rangitaiki Branch) matters pertaining to the Country’s Economics, Taxation and Rating, Importation of Livestock and the establishment of a Veterinary School in New Zealand came up for discussion and were eventually deal with. Finally in regard to the matter of noxious weeds, it was agreed that the Whakatane County Council be asked to enforce the clearing of all noxious weeds from farm properties and road frontages and after reasonable warning all offenders to be prosecuted. Failing the clearing of all noxious weeds following prosecution, the County Council to undertake the clearing and charge the cost to the land owners.
