MARCHING CLUB

WHAKATANE INTERESTS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Whakatane Girls’ Marching Club was held in the Borough Council Chambers on August 29, 1946, at 7.30p.m. The election of officers for the forthcoming year proceeded as under:— • Patroness: Mrs Sullivan. President: Mrs Rowson.

Vice-presidents: Messrs. Warren, C. L. Hudson, W. Bridger, Patterson, B. S. Barry, D. Whittle, Mrs Ching, Mrs Lodge. Secretary and Treasurer: Miss M. Farrell.

Committee: Messrs. H. Mole, F. Abbott, Hammond Auditor: R. Mollgaard. It was decided that the marching season would open on October 79, followed by a dance in the evening. Any girls wishing to join are requested to hand their names in to the secretary.
