WHAKATANE LADIES’ CLUB The second qualifying round of the championships will be played in conjunction with the weekly competition on Wednesday 21 and Saturday 24. The draw is as follows: Wednesday: Mrs Berg and Mrs Symmans; Mrs Dawson and Miss Black;. Mrs Dewar and Mrs Otley; Mrs Combes and Mrs Winstone; Mrs Sloane and Mrs Fogerty; Mrs Wilson and Mrs Rangi; Mrs Breckon and Mrs Semmens; Mrs Donaldson and Miss Hyland; Mrs McCowan and Mrs Spence; Mrs Connell and Miss Otley; Mrs Fraser and Miss Reynolds; Mrs Suckling and Miss Robins; Mrs Fennell and Mrs Grey; Mrs Ker and Miss Armstrong; Mrs Wilson and Miss Venables. Saturday: Mrs Combes and Miss Nankivell; Mrs Otley and Mrs Wilson; Mrs Jarrett and Mrs Winstone; ,Mrs Pearse and Mrs Suckling; Mrs Stone and Miss Campbell; Mrs Hay and Miss Venables; Mrs Bui’ke and Miss Gartshore; Mrs Connell and Miss Suckling. A team of about twenty players will be visiting this club from Rotorua on Thursday 2nd. Names of club members to play the visitors will be put up in the clubhouse.
