A pre-release booked by the management of the Regent Theatre is the film “To Have And To Have Not” starring Laureh Becall and Humphrey Bogart. The first screening of this film in New Zealand will be at Whakatane, and will take place early in September, at the Regent Theatre. In the bookings of this picture, Whakatane has been given priority over the cities, and Whakatane audiences will, for a change, be able to recommend a picture to their friends in the city instead of vice versa.
