WHAKATANE ASSOCIATION The following players have been selected to represent Whakatane on Saturday, August 17, to play Tauranga on the Primary School Court at 1.30 p.m.:— Goalers: P. Carter, M. Haimona, N. ‘Tauroa. Centres: M. Howat, B. O’Brien, B. Armstrong. Defence: S. Howat, P. Davis, I. Grant. Emergencies: B. Mexted, N. Kenyon, I. Whittle. Players are requested to attend a practise at 10.30 a.m. Edgecumbe will play Awakeri at Edgecumbe at 1 p.m. Results of matches played on August 10: Matata 19 Awakeri 8; Whakatane A 19 Paroa 11; Edgecumbe 15 Rovers 1; Whakatane A 22 Matata 11; Paroa 7 Reserves 4; Poroporo 6 Rovers 3; Taneatua 7 Orini 6.
