CARDS AND MAH JONG EVENING A most successful afternoon organised by the Ladies’ Committee of t'he local branch of the National Party, was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs W. R. Boon, White Pine Bush. The spacious rooms were filled to capacity and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent playing bridge, five hundred and mah jong. A delicious afternoon tea, provided by the ladies of the committee was served. Mrs Carter then sang in her usual charming manner accompanied by Mrs T. James. Miss North, president, thanked Mi’s Boon for her generous hospitality. All present expressed the desire to have these afternoons frequently and are looking forward to another social in the near future.
