WEEKEND RESULTS WHAKATANE DISTRICT ACTIVITIES The following are the results of football, hockey and basketball games played in the Whakatane district over the past weekend:— RUGBY FOOTBALL Seniors Waimana beat Wairaka 12-9. Paroa beat Poroporo by default United beat Ruatoki by default Juniors United beat Paroa 11-10. Tai Mitchell Shield (Primary School Reps) Rotorua beat Whakatane 11-0 Parata*Cup (3rd Grade Reps) Whakatane beat Rotorua 22-0 HOCKEY Men Whakatane drew with Ahuwhenua 3-3. Ruatoki drew with Wairaka 3-3 Rangitaiki beat Tuhoe 6-2. Women’s A Division Ahuwhenua beat Whakatane 4-0 Ruatoki beat Wairaka 3-2 Tuhoe beat Rangitaiki 3-0.
