Rats are cunning and very destructive. Rats can live anywhere; they can climb or swim. And rats carry INFECTION. Rats have caused plagues and fires, and today in New Zealand they are piling up a huge bill for damage. A pair of rats can, in 3 years breed a progeny of 259,000,GC0. There are millions of rats in this country and they are increasing. PREVENT! DESTROY! m ■m Keep aH food and waste in rat-proof containers. Remove ali rubbish from the yard. Fill rat burrows with concrete which incorporates broken glass. Scatter powdered glass along the rat run-way. Keep changing your methods. Use dogs and cats, or traps, or poison (e.g. barium carbonate or one of the newer poisons.) Fumigation may be necessary where burrowing is extensive.
