SUCCESSFUL SHOOT
WHAKATANE ROD & GUN CLUB A successful shoot was sponsored by the Whakatane Rod and Gun Club on the club’s grounds recently. Twenty competitors attended, and the ideal weather conditions which prevailed were conducive to good shooting. As indicated by the results published below, a high standard of competition obtained throughout. Results:— .
Eye Opener: W. Hume and S. Luttrell divided with the posible. Five Bird Sweep: A. W. Jones won with the possible. Ten Bird Sweep: W. Mayo won with nine birds.
Five Bird Sweep: J. Plamus, W. Hume and S. Luttrell shot four. J. Plamus won on the shoot off.
Gimcrack: T. Stephenson shot the possible. Five Bird Sweep: T. Stephenson shot the possible with first barrel. Box Shoot: S. Kerr shot the possible.
Five Bird Sweep: S. Kerr shot the possible off 17 yards. Double Rise: S .Kerr shot the possible with first barrel.
n Five Bird Sweep: J. Plamus shot the possible. Points Shoot: N. Matchitt shot 9 out of the possible (10 points). Five Bird Sweep: N. Matchitt and J. Hayward divided. with four - kills each.
Ten Bird Sweep: J. Hayward shot the possible using second barrel once Five Bird Sweep: J. Hayward shot the possible with first barrel.
