Andre Deprez, Director General of the South-East Aeronautical Construction Society, and the famous pilot, Marcel Doret. In one of these small single-engined planes, which consume little more fuel than a big car (18 miles per gallon approx.), a French industrialist can visit his factories in Marignane, Boufarik, and Toulouse in just over a day.
Prosperous Fiji ‘I have been in Fiji since 1926 and I have never known the place to be so prosperous,” said Mr A. E. T. Corrie, director of Corrie and Company, Fiji, on his arival by the Tungsha recently from a business trip to Australia. Mr Corrie ascribed Fiji’s prosperity to the fact that so many Americans, who spent money freely, were stationed there, and the local storekeepers kept the money within the colony.
