Dear Sir,
Letters to the Editor must be clearly written on one side of the paper only and where a nom-de-plume is used the name of the writer must be included for reference purposes. The Editor reserves the right to abridge, amend or withhold any letter or letters. GUN CLUB AFFAIRS Sir, —I have been very interested in letters written by “Club Member” to the Beacon concerning trout trophies. Is there something strange here? The president and committee seem more, concerned in learning club members name and having a hush hush pow-pow with him than answering the questions asked. i. Would it not enhance the club’s activities to answer these questions-, through the Beacon than have a suspicious air created. I have always noticed that advertising and publicity provided it is in the right direction is the fastest road to any clubs’ success., If you do think club members eyes have been a bit dim in the past, would there be any harm in telling him again? Yours etc., CRITIC.
