TAI MITCHELL SHIELD
SCHOOL RUGBY Prominent fixtures on the Rugby Calender during the past years have been the inter-school challenge matches for the Tai Mitchell Shield. At 10.30 a.m. on Friday, July 19, Whakatane will meet Opotiki on the Whakatane Domain. A further match against Rotorua will take place on August 10. The Whakatane team is as follows: Forwards: Eivers, Needham, Herewini, Mason, Tawa, Lowe, Hill, Taru, Stevenson, Bowering, Maxwell; Backs: Hika, Wano, Hohapata, Matiu,'Rossiter, Fowell, Hawoe, Williams, Black.
