REPEAT PERFORMANCE

1946 ROYAL REVUE ROWING CLUB BENEFIT SHOW Though the attendance was somewhat disappointing, the repeat performance of the ‘1946 Royal Revue’ by Mr Ken Jarrett’s company .of talented players assisted by a number of local artists was again a remarkable success. From beginning to end all'items won the applause of the audience and there can be no doubt but that the whole show fully endorsed the warm praise it won on its first appearance in the interests of C.0.R.5.0. As on that occasion the orchestra carried its full measure of responsibility and all its numbers were delightfully rendered. The soloists once again charmed the audience, while humorous .items fitted in extremely well. Individual items by the Highland dancers, the Maori troupe, and the gymnasts were again successful highlights as was the ‘Chalk Talk’ by Hans.

Before the final curtain Mr Norman addressed a few words to the audience, thanking the performers on behalf of the Rowing Club and calling for a round of applause in their honour.
