MR FRED SKELTON HONOURED

A smoke concert to farewell Mr Fred Skelton of the staff of the Rangitaiki Plains Dairy Company, was held in the company's staff social room at Edgecumbe on Wednesday ■ evening. In making a presentation of a cheque from the staff, Mr G. -Comiskey made reference to Mr Skelton's popularity, while Mr J. Becker, the Factory /Manager, expressed appreciation of Mr Skelton's : service over a number of years with the company. The opportunity was taken during the eyeningto extend a cordial welcome to Mr D. Thompson who had "been appointed Manager to the : Dairy Company's Pig Farm.
