Expenditure

The total amount collected, including donations given for the specific purpose of erecting seats round the pool amounts to £57 19s together with timber to the value of £4. The amount spent includes concreting the dressing sheds together with the north end of the pool (£21); cleaning and chipping, inside and out, painting fence and dressing sheds, and hiring an attendant during the six weeks’ school holidays, (£24); sandbagging wings of dam (£2). This latter work has unfortunately been wrecked by recent washouts. Cash in hand amounts to £9 19s 6d. The debt on the pool is £l6l 9s 3d. Misfortune has been encountered as regards the dam, which, it is understood, will require a further £ls of more spent upon it to make it serviceable for the coming season. The public response to appeals for donations has been generous, and the money collected has enabled necessary work to proceed. It is hoped this year, to interest the Surf Club in the activities centring round the pool.
