CREAM STANDS

QUESTION OF INSURANCE FARMERS’ UNION LETTER In a letter to the Whakatane County Council, the Rangitaiki Branch of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union stated that some apprehension was felt regarding the right reserved to request alterations and improvements to cream stands etc., and if an assurance could be given that no drastic action would be taken in this respect apart from seeing that such were in secure & reasonable positions it was felt that the scheme would be very favourably received generally, especially as the charge suggested appeared a reasonable one. The following resolution had been carried:— “If some indication could be had from the office about conditions required regarding alteration to structure, and position of cream stands, rural mail boxes etc. and providing such conditions are reasonable, the proposition merits further investigation.” The Council decided that the matter be held in abeyance pending reply on cost to the Council of a Common Law cover.
