HOSPITAL RATING
CONCERTED COUNTY ACTION RECOMMENDATIONS TO CONFERENCE ' . Writing the Whakatane County Council last Tuesday, No. 1 Ward (N.Z. Counties Association) stated that as the Prime Minister had refused to meet the President of the Association in respect to Hospital rating, and that being one of the reasons for the postponement of the proposed conference, Wards Nos. 5 and 6 be asked to meet Ward ~N<® 1 in Auckland to discuss the following:— • -
1. Limiting this year’s payment of v hospital levy to the bash? mended by the Parliamentary mittee in ij;s report. 2. Pledging of united agreeing to the above. 3. Any other matters which to hospital rating. As the conference has been postponed Ward No. 1 considers the meeting of the four Wards should be proceeded with before it becomes too late to deal with limiting the payment of the hospital levy as suggested.
