Mr J. E. Bigelow's resignation from the position of First Assistant at the High School was received with regret by the Whakatane School Committee at its last meeting. Speaking of the.service he had rendered, the chairman, Mr J. W. Wilson said that Mr Bigelow had held the position of First Assistant for a period of eleven years, and had always given of his best. The congratulations of the committee were extended to Mr Bigelow on his appointment to the position of Headmaster at the Russell Street School, Palmerston North.
