Truck Lost

At the present moment on Ohope Beach, a truck lies inverted half buried in thd sand. The vehicle belonged to Mr Reeve Canning of Whakatane, and, it is believed, was lost during the gale which raged on Monday. It is reported that thq truck which was being used in connection with fishing operations, became bogged in the sand, and before it could be freed, was caught by the sea, overturned, and in a short while was half buried.
