WHAKATANE ASSOCIATION SATURDAY’S GAMES The results of the knock-out tournament played by teams under the Whakatane Association on the Domain grounds on Saturday last were as under.:— First Round: Whakatane A 13 v Poroporo 8; Paroa 14 v Whakatane Reserves 1; Edgecumbe-Awakeri 8 Matata 15; Edgecumbe 8 v Taneatua 2; Adakeri 6 v Whakatane Rovers 5; Whakatane A 5 v Or ini 3. Second Round: Paroa 10 v Matata 1; Edgecumbe 10 v Awakeri 3; Whakatane 6 v Paroa 7. Final: Paroa 14 v Edgecumbe 3. The first round of weekly competitions will also be played on the Domain grounds arid will commence on Saturday, May 24. Details are as under:— * 1.20: Whakatane Reserves V Orini, Miss Cave; Paroa v Whakatane Rovers, Miss Carter. 2 p.m. Whakatane A v Edgecumbe, Miss Luttrell; Taneatua v Awakeri, Miss Cave. 2.30. Poroporo v Matata, Miss Carter; High School a bye.
