AUTUMN CATTLE FAIR The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report having held their Autumn Supplementary Cattle Fair at Whakatane on May 13. There was a yarding of 915 head, and a total clearance was effected. There was a strong representation of buyers from outside districts, and competition was keen. All cattle came forward in first class condition, and prices realised were in accordance with those prevailing in other districts. The following is a list of prices: Fat bullocks £ll 10s to £l7; fat cows and heifers £9 to £l3 10s; forward bullocks £lO to 15s to £l2 ss; 2g year heifers (light condition) £6 to £8; 18 month steers £6 to £8 2s 6d; 18 month heifers £4 7s to £B.
